Mendax Microsystems introduces another Microsoft ISA 2006 based appliances: The Sentinel A1020R The Sentinel is appliance based on the Microsoft Windows server 2003 and Microsoft ISA platform. Placed as the beachhead of any network the Sentinel will give you total control over your network usage and policies. Mendax now offers NAS and iSCSI storage appliances based on Windows Storage Server, Linux, OPEN-E with up to 48T! The Teramax 4825 can handle a whopping total of 48 hot swappable drives in raid 0,1,5,10,50 modes.

Mendax is pleased to announce the addition of Intel’s latest technology Quad Core XEON processors to several of our RackServ and Teramax server lines. Compared to the of clock speeds in conventional chips above 3 GHz and 4 GHz, multiple-core chips can accelerate processing tasks in desktops and servers without drawing more electricity and generating extra heat. They can also handle more than one instruction set at a time, allowing computers to multitask more efficiently.

Seagate ships first 1 Terabyte SATA hard drive. Operating at 7200RPM and using only 4 platters (each holding 250GB of data) with 32GB of cache the new terabyte drives are fast and reliable. Look for these new drives in all our SATA2 capable products like the Teramax 2425 or the RackServ 1025.

Mendax announces the discontinuance of the RackServ 1000. This product is being replaced by the RackServ 1025. The RackServ 1025 is an ideal entry level server offering space for two SATA2 hard drives and a single Intel Pentium 4 or core 2 duo processor.

With the launch of the new line of Mendax Server, we will slowly see the decline of the SCSI platforms. Our new products will mostly incorporate the new SAS interface. SAS is basically the same thing as SCSI but uses the SATA cables. The good thing about SAS is that many new motherboards will have both SATA and SAS ports onboard eliminating the need of expensive controllers. Mendax will launch new Core 2 Duo 1U rackmount servers this fall. These new machines will be priced low enough to become our entry level servers and will be powerful enough to handle just about any application.

The new RackServ 1160 offers Dual Core capabilities, faster ram, bigger SATA 2 drives and dual gigabit network controllers, all for about the same price as the older RackServ 1100.
You can still grab a RackServ 1100 or 1100S (see links above) at a reduced cost until they are all gone (which should be soon after this email). Please use disco10 as an e-coupon at the last stage of your checkout. Coupon usually expires in about 2 days.

Mendax announces the discontinuance of two RackServ servers. The following two rack mount servers will no longer be in production. We will liquidate our remaining stock. Keep in mind that even with discontinued servers you still have a full warranty.

Today we introduce two new servers to the Mendax family of products. Both are based on the AMD Opteron processor, 1U with 4 hot swap bays. The first one is the new RackServ 1470 which is a dual processor Opteron server. The second in line is the new RackServ 1480 which is similar but runs on a dual processor DUAL CORE Opteron platform.
