Each iSCSI Storage Appliance includes advanced services

Advanced Storage Pooling – aggregates disk capacity and enables easy GUI-based provisioning of disk space on as as-needed basis from the storage pool, via iSCSI, to application hosts (including Microsoft ® Exchange, SQL Server, and Oracle ® servers) without downtime. As a result, iSCSI Storage Appliances reduce operating costs by significantly simplifying storage management tasks and by eliminating the need to purchase new servers whenever you need more storage.
TimeMark® Snapshot Service – provides 32 point-in-time recovery points per LUN (i.e., per virtual disk) and safeguards against soft errors such as accidental deletions, file corruptions, and virus attacks. In addition to increasing backup frequency and thus minimizing the risk window for potential data loss, file-level recoveries can be performed quickly and efficiently without the need for lengthy restores from tape.

Optional Storage Services Available for iSCSI Storage Appliances

Snapshot Agents – Rapid Recovery Solution Application-aware Snapshot Agents ensure transactional integrity and point-in-time consistency of database and messaging data replicas to expedite data recovery.

DiskSafe™/ CDP Client – Continuous Data Protection Solution - DiskSafe/CDP Client works in conjunction with the TimeMark Snapshot Service/CDP Option to provide reliable data protection with granular rollback to a known-good point in time. Continuously replicates data from a remote or satellite office to a centralized iSCSI Storage Appliance or from local storage to the iSCSI Storage Appliance over a standard IP (LAN or WAN) connection.

Remote Replication – Disaster Recovery Solution Remote Replication reliably replicates mission-critical data from an appliance at a primary site to a secondary site over IP. The replica can be quickly promoted to primary status for continuous business operations in the event of a disaster.

NAS Protocol – File-based Data Storage Solution NAS Protocol option provides reliable, easily managed shared storage for rapidly growing file-based data.
