Mendax releases 1U Short Depth High availability Server Platform
NEWS RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
DATE: June 30th 2007

MENDAX RELEASES 1U SHORT DEPTH HIGH AVAILABILITY SERVER PLATFORM
Montreal, Canada (June 30th 2007) – At our research and development center in Montreal Mendax releases to a select clientele a new platform geared to high availability, mission critical and space conscious applications. This new platform unlike all of its competing machines allows for a full featured x86 based server with standard memory and drives but in a short depth chassis. The need for short depth chassis has greatly increased and will continue to do so in coming years for the main reason that computer power is also required in small spaces. Short Depth server platforms are not new to the market however finding one that is also completely redundant has proven to be difficult in recent years. The Mendax short depth platform measure only 20” in depth and allows for redundant power supplies and hot swap hard drives. It remains a standard, rack mountable 1U chassis. This new platform will remain in a prototype stage and will not be released for commercial use. Instead we will continue to experiment on this platform and release an even short design in the coming months. Prototypes of the new version are already in production.

Mendax Launches Storage Servers
NEWS RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
DATE: March 10th, 2004

MENDAX LAUNCHES STORAGE SERVERS
Las Vegas, Nevada (March 10th 2004) – Adding a new line of products to the Mendax family of servers is our newest member called the Mendax Teramax. The Mendax Teramax is a stand alone server with in chassis storage capabilities. Starting from our 1U design which can hold up to 4 hard drives (2TB of space with 500GB drives), the Teramax is available up to a 5U design with accommodations for up to 24 devices making a 12TB storage unit. At the Intel ISS event in Las Vegas, Mendax unveils the line of the Teramax Servers. Mendax hopes to capture an increasingly growing market where companies will require more and more space to store and hold their data. The Teramax can also be used as backup storage on disks; this new method will find its place between the daily storage server(s) and the tape library. As more companies require a restore time to be in minutes rather than hours, having data on disks ready to recover will be much easier and faster than looking for a backup tape. During the same event Mendax CEO Tony Kara had a chance to discuss future technology trends with Intel President / CEO Paul Otellini.

Mendax launches first Commercial Rackmount Server
NEWS RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
DATE: October 25th 2000

MENDAX LAUCHES FIRST COMMERCIAL RACKMOUNT SERVER
Bal Harbor, Florida (October 25th 2000) – At the most recent Intel Communications show, Mendax Micro releases its first 1U rack mounted server based on the Intel Pentium II 815 chipset called the Mendax Cayman. This new server which is designed to fit in a standard 19” rackmount cabinet will replace our regular pedestal servers. It’s compact size of 19”(w)X20”(d)X1.75”(h) allows for multiple servers to fit in a single rack cabinet. Rack mount technology will drastically reduce the space we allocated for servers and server rooms. As these machines become more popular, reducing their size and footprint will be an important factor. The Mendax Cayman is able to accommodate as many components as any tower server such as motherboard, hard drives, cdrom and a floppy. This initial version of the Cayman will run at 800Mhz to 1.2Ghz frequencies. Future models will definitely increase in speeds and storage capacities.

Mendax Launches Email Appliance
NEWS RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
DATE: October 29th 1998

MENDAX LAUNCHES EMAIL APPLIANCE
Los Angeles, California (OCTOBER 29th 1998) – The Mendax Mailer is the newest addition to the Mendax line of computer appliances. The Mendax Mailer is designed to deliver emails to an organization where there is no fulltime internet connection. Emails are becoming an important part of our day-to-day activities yet many smaller companies today cannot afford a fulltime internet connection. Instead they instruct their users to log into the internet once a day (sometimes twice weekly) to retrieve and send out their emails. This causes employee interruptions on a large scale where employees must take the time to login and logout when it not always obvious and ensure that employees are not distracted by messages on the internet. The Mendax Mailer allows companies to simply open their email application on a daily basis and leave the mail communications to the Mailer. Rather than have each employee get their own email, if a company is already setup on a network, the Mendax Mailer will log into the internet daily or hourly, retrieve all emails for all employees and send out all outgoing emails. This communication is done in less than 5 minutes thus freeing up your telephone line quickly and it is totally transparent to the end user. Users simply have to create and send emails, and reply to the ones that have received. To learn more about this product, visit us online at www.mendax.com/mailer

Mendax Launches Point of Sale Appliance
NEWS RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
DATE: July 15th 1998

MENDAX LAUNCHES POINT OF SALE APPLIANCE
Los Angeles, California (July 15th 1998) – Mendax Microsystems Inc. launches new POS (Point of Sale) appliance. Many small merchants these days still use an old fashioned cash register. At the end of the day they gather their invoices, add them up and incorporate them into accounting software. Mendax noticed that this procedure causes delays and most importantly mistakes. By incorporating the accounting software in the cash register, the new Mendax POS appliance saves the trouble of re-inputting this data at the end of the day. In addition, unlike the conventional cash registers, this machine allows the user to know sales figures at any moment of the day. Since its network ready, different users on the same local network in other offices can log into the appliance and get the current up to the minute sales figures. This new POS appliance can take up to 20 connections which is a combination of multiple cash registers and office users. The Mendax POS works with standard cash drawers and barcode devices. It is also equipped with a point of sale software
